Based in Iowa, Midland Co. is a land-based seafood technology company advancing modern seafood production. We design and deliver turnkey, algae-based recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) that enable sustainable, ethical shrimp farming - while also bringing premium shrimp to market. Our shrimp are raised indoors in saltwater tanks using algae-based filtration that continuously cleans and recirculates the water in a closed-loop system designed to mimic natural ecosystems. The result is a cleaner, smarter, and far more sustainable approach to seafood production. From system design to harvest, we are involved in every step of the process, ensuring exceptional quality from tank to table.
